Christmas 2003

Christmas Day 2003 Liz and I were married at Liz's daughter's home in the Hudson River Valley of New York.  Liz's family and some very close friends were there to help us celebrate the event — and as you can see by the "bride and groom" on the top of the cake, her family and friends have a great sense of humor.

Liz's granddaughter was her maid of honor.  Liz's son-in;law was my best man, her grandson the ring bearer.  As you can see, all the men wore Plaka shirts and Kakui nut leis — Joe, the Mayor, officiated.

Bob's trusty little Canon Digital Elph gave up the gost Christmas Eve — trumatic.  So he had to rely on others to take ALL of the pictures.

Shortly after the ceremony it began to snow, large flakes.  So of course we had our picture taken with snow flakes falling.   And toasting it with Champaign. Clockwise — we are with old friends of Liz's who came down from Connecticut to help us celebrate our wedding.  Below is the entire group who witnessed our wedding.  Bottom picture — three retired nurses.  Above — Liz feeding Bob a piece of our "red velvet" wedding cake, made by Liz's son and his wife.  Bob is really trusting!!

Two discussing current event, but look at Liz's granddaughter peeking at the camera throuugh the mirror.  Clockwise — the Christmas Tree, center stage.  Below — 3 cooks in the kitchen.  Left — a beautiful souffle.  And the group that came for breakfast.

Just one year old, seeking safety of her mother's dress.  Liz's granddaughter and son.  Below — granddaughter, with the Ninja below also unmasked in the center.
