Forks, WA to Seattle

The Olympic Peninsula was still overcast and drizzle as we
left Forks, heading for Seattle.
We finally got down to Bremerton and boarded the ferry to Seattle. It's a leisurely way to travel -- about a hours ride, with an interesting view.
Leaving the ferry, we drove to Gordon and Gloria's home. It was good to see old friends and introduce my granddaughter to them.
That
evening we went to see the boat locks that raise and lower boats from sea
level to Lake Union. Always an interesting sight. Attached to
the locks is a fish ladder. The Sockeye were migrating up stream.
From the darkened viewing area, with glass windows, we could see the
Sockeye and the ladder was full of them.
